Classification: Student

Abilities/powers: Kiora's mutation affects only the physical development of her own body. Her body has developed to be very “cat like.” She is exceptionally graceful and sure on her feet, in addition, her reflexes are slightly faster than the average person. She has also developed a prehensile tail that helps her balance.

Sex: Female

Age/Date of Birth: 15, date of birth unknown

General appearance: Kiora has very short, dusky grey-blue fur all over her body, long dark blue hair that she usually keeps bound in a braid, and deep purple eyes. She stands about 5'6”, 145lbs, and is still growing. She also has a prehensile tail that she can use to grip things, but generally just functions to help her balance.

Additional Appearance: Kiora has a number of scars on her body, though she's by no means covered. Her clothing style tends to hover between punk, goth, and gothic lolita(but not over-the-top frilly). She wears cute but dark clothing that accentuates her figure. She loves wearing short skirts, form fitting tops with corset lacing, and reds and purples.

Personality: Kiora tends to be rather snarky and she's very flirtatious, though whether she intends to be or not is usually not clear. She seems to take almost nothing seriously, though when somebody earns her trust, she is fierce in her loyalty to them. Despite her almost perpetual nonchalant attitude, she has a very dark side. She does not tolerate insults to herself or the people close to her, and she has a rather dark sense of humor. She's also incredibly brazen. She was essentially a slave and did Anything her master ordered, so nothing is sacred to her. She doesn't understand the concept of shame, it's been that way almost her whole life.

Special Skills: Kiora is very skilled in Kenjutsu, the traditional Japanese fighting style that uses the Katana. She is also very familiar with firearms, is a very good shot, and enjoys disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling them to relax.

Place of birth: Northern Ireland, exact area unknown.

Weapon(s) of choice: Katana. Hers is hand-made in the traditional manner.

Medical information: Kiora has had many broken bones in the past and though they've all healed by now, frequently broken bones can cause complications.

Brief History: When Kiora was an infant she was found abandoned (likely due to her appearance) by Liam Donohugh, the leader of a small crime syndicate that supplies firearms to IRA. The man treated her like a pet, training her brutally, yet doting on her in some ways. His one true indulgence of her, however, was her obsession with ancient Japanese culture and the way of the Samurai, even going so far as to hire a personal tutor to teach her Kenjutsu, the traditional fighting-style of the Samurai. She became is personal body guard and was often the only guard he would take with him into some meetings. Her reputation in Irish crime circles was carefully cultivated and well earned. A little over a year ago, she came into contact with Mihir Proudclaw in an online chat room. They talked for several months, and when Kiora finally admitted to him that she was a mutant, he started trying to convince her to leave Ireland to attend Xavier's school. Eventually, he convinced her, and while she was on a trip to the States with her master to meet with a contact, she took the opportunity to escape.

Relatives: She doesn't know who her biological family is, though she's certain they abandoned her because of her mutations. Her “master” still lives and works in Ireland.

How long your character has been in the mansion: Five months

2013-03-05 [Duredhel]: Mihir thing makes NO sense or has been VERY poorly thought out. I repeat, I think it's beyond salvage and should be dropped. It's very... 15 year old mindset; "I'm a teenager with no money or the appropriate documentation, :D imma casually pop over to Europe, become involved in a huge plot and back in time for dinner :D!

Sword and Gothic lolita are ok, I guess...
I swear though if we have another assassin/criminal/baddass who acts nothing like one, imma scream XD (we have enough with Mihir, Lire and Addy)

How the character gets to the states also holds no water... its not easy to travel internationally on your own as a minor. It's not. You have any idea the kind of trouble airlines can get in for that? They're ridiculously liable. They escort minors the entire time and you need notarized forms of authorization from one parent (and many times both, since they don't want parents without full custody escaping the country with kids).

Let alone getting INTO the states as an UNDOCUMENTED NON-AMERICAN MINOR WITH BLUE SKIN CARRYING A SWORD (which she could NEVER have gotten onto a plane) IN A FLIGHT BOOKED WITH THE CREDIT CARD OF A MAN WHO PROBABLY HAS SOME SORT OF CRIMINAL RECORD OR IS IN SOME LAW ENFORCEMENT WATCHLIST.

Not to mention her master could trace and cancel the flight with one friggin click....

XD I swear I'm not trying to be an ass, just attempting to point out the full fledged ridiculousness of everything from "A little over a year ago..." and down.

2013-03-05 [Flisky]: This comment has nothing to do with the above, but I was just curious as to how Mihir and Addy qualify as assassin/criminal/baddass in the first place.

2013-03-05 [Duredhel]: Addy spent 3 years living alone in what seems to be the X-men equivalent of Pandora. Supposedly to come back as a baddass survivalist/thing. Badassness lasted 30 seconds tho XD, it hardly even seemed like a life changing experience of any sort, almost as if it was just an excuse to make her of legal age.

Mihir didn't. He was just a hotheaded, overly passionate guy with no sense of the line between sweet and 'immaeatyourskin' creepy. But now I'm told he was also a teenage enforcer for an international gun runner working for a world famous terrorist group. Which would be ok if it had been stated from the start, since right now doesn't seem to fit ANYTHING about him in the RP and may just cause a few bouts of projectile vomit :>.

Guys, take this with a grain of salt XD. Just wanna remind you lot that I have no setting other than mean. I'm only polite and nice to people when I'm pissed at them. Figgs can attest to that.

2013-03-05 [~Valkyrie~]: Her association with Mihir was Flisky's idea, I like it, but I suppose it could be dropped. The timeline is sketchy because she didn't give me any more information other than that he traveled and if he'd have been in Ireland, it would have been about a year ago. Also, my brother took a trip to Europe with a couple friends before he turned 18, it wasn't that difficult. He just had to fill out a form and pay an extra fee for the escort, which was provided by the airline. Of course her Katana wouldn't have been in her carry on, she would have had to check it, or more likely mailed it ahead of herself. I suppose she could have contacted the school before she left and come into the states on a student visa. As for using the card, often times the leaders of such groups have respectable fronts and let the people below them take the fall, or they have documents under fake names.

You know what...I'm going to make some edits real quick, tell me what you think when I finish, Dur/Figgy.

2013-03-05 [~Valkyrie~]: There, she can show up at the school, not even enrolled, but wanting to attend. Xavier doesn't seem like the kind to turn anyone out, I'm sure they'd work with her, right? Get her a student visa, maybe even help her become emancipated and get citizenship?

17 is considered of age for international travel. First I traveled internationally I was 14, I was also not american (similar situation Kiora would be in) and I was traveling to Mexico (MUCH easier to get into than the states, trust me). After visa (which took a few months) we had to get notarized parental permissions and a letter from the people who would pick me up at the airport in Mexico. I had to be escorted by an airline employee at all times. Later on I traveled when I was 16 to England with my mom, we still had to get a notarized permission from my dad cuz they were divorced and shared custody.

Best solution would be Xavier using his network of friends/informants/mutants to get her away from her 'master' after Mihir asked him for help?
That covers a lot of holes and means the master could still come after her (if I'm right in thinking that's what you guys were thinking) but could not have canceled her flight and caught her with a single click on his laptop. Xavier's network probably has better ways of getting around immigration and the sort than she would have had on her own.

2013-03-05 [~Valkyrie~]: Grown up? I guess her body does. I'm not a shilled enough artist to get the quality I want without first tracing from a reference, which means I sometimes can't make all the changes I want look quite right. I think her face and clothing look rather young though.

I'm not the best either, but I think you'd get better results from looking up the body type you want rather than a specific pose. It's best to practice like that, too.

2013-03-05 [~Valkyrie~]: I had a professor tell me that tracing would actually help me to see how the lines should feel, though I do admit that I rely too heavily on it. In general though, I don't put too much effort into improving drawing because writing is actually my preferred medium.
